                Synopsis
The Castle of Dark Dreams is just part of an adult theme park, right? The most decadent attraction in a place where people go to play out their wildest erotic fantasies. Holgarth isn’t really a wacky wizard, and Sparkle Stardust doesn’t actually create cosmic chaos by hooking up completely mismatched couples. And that naked guy chained up in the dungeon? No way he’s a vampire.

Wrong...dead wrong, as botanist Cinn Airmid is about to find out. It’s up to her to save the night feeder’s sanity, but to do that she’ll have to get close to the most dangerously sexy male she’s ever encountered. And one look in Dacian’s haunted black eyes tells her close will take on a whole new meaning with someone who’s had 600 years to practice his technique. Even a girl with a name that conjures up images of forbidden pleasure has a few tricks to learn from...

Reality Bites
“Say what you have to say so I can get out of here.”
She wouldn’t think about the possibility that Sparkle might not intend to release her. But just in case, she scanned the area for a weapon. Whips, chains, and a bunch of other torture implements. Hmm. She could do some damage with that small ax.
Sparkle laughed. “Give it up, Cinn. The only real thing in here are the chains keeping Decian from trying to suck us dry.”
Cinn slanted a quick glance at Dacian. Who knew that eyes so black could look like they were burning? She swore she could almost see the flames behind his glare.
“So here’s the deal. Yes, vampires do exist, along with lots of other nonhumans. Edge and I are cosmic troublemakers. My specialty is creating sexual chaos throughout the universe. Edge is the cosmin troublemaker in charge of death. You can guess what he does. Bain is a demon, and yes, Holgarth is a real wizard.” She held up her hand to stop Cinn from interrupting. “Let me finish.”
Cinn had no intention of interrupting. No way could she talk with her jaw dragging on the floor.
“I sense a kindred spirit in you.”

      my Thoughts (review)
First thought: .... yeah...I draw a blank...
ÔÕÖ×Ø
This was one of those books that left you satisfied and a little confused. Was it that way because this wasn’t the first of the series? Were the ones before something of a need that grew and so you actually learnt about all the characters in a way that made them have something more? I don’t know, and I say this in a way because there wasn’t anything lacking in the characters around them, only that there were a lot of them.

So we are introduced into this world of characters because of Cinn, and I’m saying introduced because we did have to have a bit of a ‘what the fuck! Monsters are real!’ thing going on with her, but this was done in the dungeon while Dacian’s hung up on the wall, made with a craze that... well, I don’t want to spoil. And so that makes it a little bit more interesting—a more in your face showing of monsters rather than you having to believe with a quick so of fangs.

A little bit more interesting, but still... well, I thought it’s an overplay, but that’s just me, and who am I to judge—really give me a clueless main character than just shrugs it all off like she knew it all along (yeah, I know why there isn’t any)

There was always something going on in this book, someone movie, no one ever stopping, and that wasn’t all that bad, not really, not when the characters have a depth that makes them nearly come to life off the pages.

Then there was the magic, and even though the end scene, the main crap was pretty much over with within a heartbeat, it was with a mean kick, rather than a simple wave of a hand by a goddess (yeah, that’s the type there) and yet the goddess did give in. did give a held when needed.

What I really liked about this book was the love story that got woven in-between it all. It was very obvious what was going to happen and yet rather than skip threw the whole falling, which is why we read them, isn’t it? we want a story not, oh, look your hot, now let’s fuck and oh, lookit here I love you, all that bullshit that just comes out of nothing and make the love the characters feel of each other a load of crap. But this was like watching your two best mates falling in love with each other, the sideways looks, the secret meeting, all that crap. And it’s the way a good romance should be told. Where you see the love that come to them—see the falling, that more than lust.

I really liked this book, it’s was gripping, I could have put it down any time and not cared if I picked it back up or not, but the read was good, and made you interesting in what was happening.
