chapters

Rule 3: NEVER STARE AT INVISIBLE
FAERIES.
Aislinn has always seen faeries.
Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in the mortal world.
Rule 2: NEVER SPEAK TO INVISIBLE
FAERIES.
One of them, a beautiful faery boy
named Keenan, is trying to talk to her, asking questions Aislinn is afraid to
answer.
Rule 1: DON’T EVER ATTRACT THEIR
ATTENTION.
Now it’s too late, Keenan is the
Summer King and is determined that Aislinn will become the Summer Queen at any
cost. Without her, summer itself will perish...
my Thoughts (review)
So this book takes us into her
world. Knowing fairies are out there wasn’t a surprise to Aislinn, she’s been
able to see them her whole life, and she knows what not to do when around them.
Simply, she’s been living with the rules of it. but when a fairy king becomes
interested in her, Ayslinn turns to the only person she can trust to help her
figure out what to do, and hopefully get him to leave her alone.
Only Keenan knows that Aislinn is
his queen and he will do anything to get his court back to what it should be,
even if that means getting rid of Seth, the guy she’s in love with.
So this book was good, it really got
you into the series, make you want to know what’s next without making a big
deal, like the book ends, if you get what I mean.

Ink Exchange
Wicked lovely series, book 2
Pub: 2008, HarperCollin USA teen
Author: Melissa Marr
Cat: fiction (fairies, magic)
Format: paperback (mid); 313 pp w/ 37
chapters
Age Range: YA, 13+
Synopsis
Images
cluttered the page, but one tattoo set her nerves on edge: inky-black eyes
surrounded by wings like shadows coalescing.
Mine. The need was overpowering. Leslie looked up. “This one,” she said. “I
need this one.”
But the image is more than just
tempting art, and it draws Leslie into a world of shadows and desire—into the
world of Faerie.
my Thoughts (review)
It about an abused girl wanting a
tattoo and instead gets trapped into the dark court as there kings source of
power.
This book takes us into that court
and the problem they face, as well as letting us have a bit of sympathy for
them, it also makes you said for both the girl and the man that’s fallen for
her.
It was a ride this book, much more
then the first and gave the two men a heartache to live with over the next few
books. Though it was more about Niall, who is a character that I really like,
in either form, and Irial, they are my favourite characters, besides Seth, but
then who can doesn’t like a male like Seth.

Fragile Eternity
Wicked lovely series, book 3
Pub: 2009, HarperCollin USA teen
Author: Melissa Marr
Cat: fiction (fairies, magic)
Format: paperback (mid); 389 pp w/ 35
chapters
Age Range: YA, 13+
Synopsis
Seth never expected to settle down
forever – but that was before Aislinn. Unfortunately, forever takes on a whole
new meaning when your girlfriend is a faerie queen...
Aislinn never expected to rule the
very creatures which had always terrified her – but that was before Keenan. He
stole her mortality, and now she faces challenges and enticements beyond any
she’d ever imagined.
In Melissa Marr’s third mesmerising
tale of Faerie, Seth and Aislinn struggle to stay true to themselves and to
each other, in a world where one false step could plunge the Earth into
chaos...
my Thoughts (review)
Seth
and his becoming a fairy so that he can stay in Aislinn’s world with her. But
life’s not all that easy and when Aislinn thinks Seth has run off, she turns to
Keenan, and he takes advantage and lies to her about where Seth is.
There’s
only one fairy out there that seem to really care that Seth is and though he’s
dealing with the fact that he’s the new dark king, he still makes sure that
Seth is okay.
This
book, to me, was only interesting because of Seth, I my mind wanted to skip
over the sad boring parts of Asilinn and got back to Seth.

Radiant Shadows
Wicked lovely series, book 4
Pub: 2010, HarperCollin USA teen
Author: Melissa Marr
Cat: fiction (fairies, magic)
Format: paperback (mid); 340 pp w/ 36
chapters
Age Range: YA
Synopsis
He
was sculpture-perfect but had a tangled feel. Shadow and radiance. He didn’t look much older than her, until
she saw the arrogance in his posture. Then, he reminded her of the faeries who
walked through the courts and crowds confident that they could slaughter
everyone in the room. Like chaos in a glass cage.
“Come
dance.”
Ani
turned her back and let herself be swept into the crowd.
my Thoughts (review)
This
one’s my fav!!! Serious the best book in the whole series, I thought. What with
being about Ain, the dark kings Gabriel’s daughter and her need to run from
War, who’s more than sure she’s was saved from death by her ‘brother/son’
because she was meant to let War win.
But
that wasn’t why Devin saved her, and when there’s eyes meet years after he
finds that he can’t leave her alone either, but for such a different reason.

Darkest Mercy
Send the messengers for
the Faery Courts.
This is the end.
Wicked lovely series, book 5
Pub: 2011, HarperCollin USA teen
Author: Melissa Marr
Cat: fiction (fairies, magic)
Format: paperback (mid); 327 pp w/ 42
chapters
Age Range: YA
Synopsis
Aislinn
took a steadying breath. “I need to find out where Keenan is. If he’s not home,
I’m going into war without him... which is not ideal. Someone knows where he
is.”
“I do not, my queen. I give you my word
that I will find out, thought.” Travish’s restrained facade slipped, and she
saw the faery-cruel expression as he asked. “Are there limits to the methods?”
The Summer King is missing: the Dark
Court is bleeding: a stranger walks the streets of Huntsdale, his presence
signifying the deaths of powerful fey. Love, despair and betrayal ignite the
Faery Courts, and in the final conflict some will win... and some will lose
everything.
my Thoughts (review)
Well...
I haven’t actually read this book. It’s more because I just haven’t gotten
around to it, then anything. I actually didn’t realise I hadn’t read it until I
did this review.

This
series was good, but I’m not that great a fan of fairies so it wasn’t
completely my cup of tea, but it has a very good. The writing style and all
that—even greater story line, honestly they are beautiful books, and so well
written that they got my further into the series then what I would have normal
under the same.
The
whole series is about the realigning of the feary world—or that’s what I got—and
the love that comes out of it. They start off well and more onto bigger and
greater books as the power struggles came wives its way through the lives of
those around (or at the ones that we fallow threw the book) them.
There
is little sexual tension and blank spots where the actual full on touching is. And
there is, a bit of that threw the series, more tension than anything else.
