Synopsis
SABAODY Part 3
IMPEL DOWN Part 1
As
a child, monkey D. Luffy dreamed of becoming King of the Pirates. But his life
changed when he accidentally gained the power to stretch like rubber...at the
cost of never being able to swim again! Years later, Luffy sets off in search
of the “One Piece,” said to be the greatest treasure in the world....
UNSTOPPABLE
With
his brother Ace locked up in the Naval prison Impel Down, Luffy doesn’t have
much time to rescue him before his imminent execution. While he may have found
a way to sneak into the maximum-security prison, finding Ace isn’t going to be
as easy. But a chance reunion with some former enemies just might be a blessing
in disguise!
Catch up....
Monkey D. Luffy started out as just a kid with a dream—and that dream was to
become the greatest pirate in history! Stirred by the tales of pirate
“Red-Haired” Shank, Luffy vowed to become a pirate himself. That was before the
enchanted Devil Fruit gave Luffy the power to stretch like rubber, at the cost
of being unable to swim—a serious handicap for an aspiring sea dog. Undeterred,
Luffy sat out to sea and recruited a couple of crewmates; master swordsman
Zolo; treasure-hunting thief Nami; lying sharp-shooter Usopp; Sanji, the
high-kicking chef; Chopper, the walkin’ talkin’ reindeer doctor; and the
mysterious archaeologist Robin: cyborg shipwright Franky; and Brook, a musical
skeleton!
Oooohaving
entered the Grand Line, Luffy and crew get a new ship, the thousand Sunny, to replace the Merry
Go. They head for Fish-Man island, but they soon find themselves
encountering a number of strange and formidable characters on Saobody
Archipelago, including the Celestial Dragons. Admiral Kizaru and Kuma, who uses
a mysterious power to scatter the crew far and wide.
Luffy
ends up on Amazon Lily, an island of woman forbidden to men, which is ruled by
Boa Hannock’s secret. But Luffy wins her over, and empress and pirate decide to
set forth together to rescue Luffy’s brother Ace, who is to be executed in six
days. But can they make it in time? and will the crew ever be reunited?
[What’s written
below is just a quick shift threw what is going on in the volume. This in no
way has all there is in it, nor am I going to tell you the full story line,
just the basic so that you can follow along with me. Really, if you are finding
this interesting then you really
should read this series....really, either way, read it! Honestly it’s awesome,
with great storylines and characters that you will fall in love with faster
than you could blink]
What happens...from Impel down to Paramount War, we are
headed into a fight to save Fire fist ‘Ace’, Luffy’s older brother.
Saboady Part 5
Impel Down Part 1
Unstoppable, vol 54; we head towards
the prison where there keep Ace with Hancok helping Luffy (also, before all
this starts, we get to see where the rest of the crew land). On the run inside,
trying to get deeper and deeper Luffy runs into Buggy the Clown (from vol2)
whose escaped his cell—making what Luffy promised a quite rescue into what it
always becomes when Luffy’s involved...hilarious.
They
get from level one to 2 and meet up with Mr 3 (meet in Giant Island) with him
by their side they make it down to level 3! Meet back up with Bon Clay
(from...back in Alubarna, when they became friends)—it is he who actually wants
to help Luffy.
A Ray of Hope, vol 55; from level 3
where they feel too level 4, they meet up with the jailers—and mostly the
Warden, Magellan who is poisoned (devil Fruit user). Luffy losing that battle
with him, which basically means he gets covered in poison—Luffy is patched up
by Ivankov who Bon Clay wanted to meet and rescue.
With
the help of Ivonkov (apart of Dragon’s revolutionary) head down to get Ace, but
they were too late. Taking a few more with them, from level 6, they headed back
to the top of Impel Down.
Thank You, vol 56; though there was
a little trouble (mostly from Blackbeard) they make it out of the prison and
onto a ship headed—thanks to Bon Clay, again—to the Naval base where Ace is
being kept.
At
the Navy base, the preparation for Ace’s execution, they tell us more about
Ace—only a little (though hugely so) and Whitebeard turns up with pirates and
pirates, of pirate ships.
Paramount War Part 1
Paramount War, vol 57; the war begins
with a wall of frozen Ice. Mostly it’s all out battle (and that happens for the
next two and a half vols, so it’s a little complex.
Luffy
and he’s ship mates (at this time) show up about half way through, thanks to a
fall from the sky (or on top of the ice. Then its a little word’s to
whitebeard, then Ace, but no matter what Luffy’s going to save him.
The Name of this Era is “Whitebeard”, vol 58;
again this is confusing and really, it’s all about a battle between the Navy
and the Pirates, with everyone helping to save Ace. This vol see Whitebeard
actually in the battle.
There
are minute flashbacks into the life of Ace, mostly centred around Luffy, Ace
and Garp. But at least Ace is free by the end pages and.....
The Death of Portgaz D. Ace, vol 59;
...dead in the opening of this one
Devastated
by the loss of Ace, Luffy’s mind turns off (which is understandable, and not
only when you think about someone he love is dead in his arms, but from it
all). Whitebeard too, dead! And the pirates need to leave. But they can’t.
Luffy
is taken away, with the help of Buggy—thanks to Shanks, who comes to end the
war. Luffy is taken to one of the other Rockie’s ships, who fixes him up and
they end up on Amazon Island again—thanks to Hancock.
Little brother, vol 60; feeling as if
he’s weak from the loss of his brother and crew, Luffy agrees with Rayleigh on
an idea to help him be strong enough that he’d never have to lose anyone again
This
vol goes back to his crew members as they try to get to him just before realising
what he’s planned. Along with the rest of the world shock and preparations for
the new era to begin.
When we continues....After training for a long
two years, the Straw Hta are reunited at Sabaody. Waiting for them there are
some fierce Navy fighters. Much has changed over the years, but one thing
definitely hasn’t—a grand new adventure is about to begin!
