     my Thoughts (review)
I feel this deep seeded need to do some back tracking when it comes to explaining this series, and I’m not sure if it’s because I didn’t the first time, or if I feel I didn’t enough. So I’m going to take a few seconds to explain a few of the things about the series, feel free to skip it if you already know.

The first thing is that they are vampires, it’s a different breed of beings who look like humans but they really aren’t. They feed off each other not humans, though they can do it, it’s just not nourishing enough for them. They are meant to be secret from the human population (for obvious reasons). now, they aren’t immortal, though they don’t get sick as humans’ do, they do die of old age, it happens, I think, a couple of thousand years into life (or is it a thousand? Really, I thought only a thousand but then we meet Rhev and, well, yeah....he’s to come so I’ll explain then).

Now, whenever there are things that last forever there are always the an evil that is there to eliminate them—only I’m not real sure if that’s the case, I guess it all depends on where you sit. Anyway, these evil beings are called the Lessening Society; they are an order of slayers, and they are created by an evil god. They are also the crap people, you know, murderers, rapist, those asses of society—though they are truly dead once inducted, and as they get older they start to fade in colour (you know, hair, eyes, skin turns white)

The goal of the fighting in the book is that the Black Dagger Brotherhood is a society of vampires that are born of the strongest and purest blood. They are trained and taken into the brotherhood to fight the lesser’s. Now, over the years, and I think, mostly after Wrath ran away from the thrown, the brotherhood slowly died out and only 6 are left. Mostly this is actually because the brotherhood stoped breeding with the chosen (which is how they got more chosen and brothers).

That’s all I think, sorry to take up all this time and stuff but I really felt as if it needed to be said. Yeah, sorry that I didn’t get to it before this, but at least it’s done. Now onto the book:
******
Cursed by the Scrub Virgin, Rhage, the most beautiful male of the race is one not to fuck around with. After a change into his beast form Rhage is sick and needs time to recover—even his sight. It’s in this mental and physical state that he runs into Mary who had been visiting the brotherhood mansion with John (he’s someone you should pay attention to). Mary’s voice soothed his pains and settled his beast while the smell of her put his passion into high drive—which isn’t a good thing when your Rhage.

Needing to see Mary again, Rhage takes her on a date. And that’s when it all turns wrong—well, demanding of your glass and how you really like to look at the whole thing.

This is a great book, the hitter of the series. Really, even after reading all that’s to come I still believe this one is a favourite, even hitting my fav in my whole adult collection.

The sadness of Mary’s story and the way Rhage just can’t seem to understand though he does. It’s frustrating, sad and will get you crying just on how she see her relationship with Rhage and why she doesn’t want it to go on.

This story is heartfelt from beginning to end. And one of those books that no matter who many times you want pick it up your forced (‘cause of your own mind) to read it from beginning to end. It just that amazing, and even if you’re not a hug fan of this series you should pick this one up and have a read. It truly is a piece of art!
