Yeah
so I’m feeling a little bad (even though I shouldn’t) that I haven’t read one
of my challenge books, and this month it’s going down the same way. Only I
can’t write it off as something else like the last two that were meant to be
done.
So,
I thought, this is a good way to put up the books that are on the list with an
apologies and hopefully I’ll get myself around to actually reading one next
month
By
the way, this one was always hard for me to pick up because I’m a little scared
about what it really is. and because of that, well, it’s hard to pick up.

The first couple of lines for you
“Where are you?”
Aunt Hannah demanded as soon as Alex thumbed TALK.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
“I just crossed into Michigan,” Alex said,
choosing the easiest question first. When she’d spotted the WELCOME
TO MICHIGAN sign—GREAT LAKES! GREAT
TIMES!—she felt a sense of things opening up,
expanding, as if she’d been travelling in a perpetual night on a lonely road
hemmed be thick, black forest and was only now getting her first glimpse of the
sun. “I had to get gas.” Which was really neither here nor there.
