                Synopsis
Cratus, the son of Warcraft and Hate, spent eternity battling for the ancient gods who birthed him. He was death to any who crosses him. Until the day he laid down his arms and walked into self-imposed exile. Now an ancient enemy has been unleashed and our dreams are his chosen battlefield. And the only hope we have is the one god who swears he will never fight again.

As a Dream-Hunter, Delphine has spent eternity protecting mankind from the predators who prey on our unconscious state. But now that her allies have been turned, she knows in order to survive; the Dream-Hunters need a new leader. Someone who can train them to fight their new enemies. Cratus is her only hope. But she is a bitter reminder of why her chose to lay down his arms. Time is running out and if she can’t win him to her cause, mankind will be slaughtered and the world we know will soon cease to exist.

      Thoughts
a god punished for saving a dream child is sentenced to a life of pain and suffering in the human world (basically he lives in poverty without any friends or lovers during the day. at night, he is killed over and over again—but this was only in the times with there wasn’t humans doing horrific things to their enemies) but now those gods that punished him need his help, for he’s the only one that can.

Ha, that’s it—now tell me, what do you think he’s answer is?

His biggest problem is the eyes of the young woman that seems to make him think of her and being better in her eyes, eyes that put him in the position to begin with. Eyes he still can’t seem to hurt.

It’s a beginning of a new part of the series, set of stories and so there were a lot of people being taking into evil’s clutches but there wasn’t anything that actually made them winners. The thing I do love about it is the fact that it’s a new beginning, and this beginning is a nice one, pulling in players from all the other parts out there and linking them all together, because they don’t want humanity to lose.

The love story between Jericho and Delphine is a little like a fight that takes them to an inevitable joining of the hearts. But still she’s the perfect person for him, as the angry man he is today and the lap dog he use to be. The woman was destined to make him stand up as what he truly is and to fight for something that would free them all. And she does it beautiful, calling his crap when he starts spitting it. Holding him tight when he needs it.

But that’s the thing; this book is about him, not her even though she’s the main (even ‘only’) reason that he’s what he becomes.

And I loved it. But then I’m a sucker for those types of stories, even if I wouldn’t tolerate it in real life.

This read: man I loved this book. Really what more can I say from above. This book was actually read when I started the reviews up, I think though when I was only doing them for myself, but just when I started getting the idea of a blog and what I wanted out of it. so there’s something more descriptive about my original thoughts.

I love this book though, it’s defiantly in my top 10 list (I think there’s only ten) and it’s one that I crave more than anything to read when I’m in a little DH mood. it’s also one of those stories that you have to read from start to finish every damn time.
And that’s what makes me love it all the more.
