As a child, Monkey D. Luffy dreamed of becoming King of the Pirates. But his life changed when he accidently gained the power to stretch like rubber...at the cost of never being able to swim again! Years later, Luffy sets off in search of the “One Piece,” said to be the greatest treasure in the world....

Showdown at Alubarna
When leaving Rainbase to head off the rebels in the capital city of Alubarna, Luffy gets pulled aside by Crocodile for some cozy one-on-one time! With only three minutes to fight, can Luffy take on the sand pirate on his domain?! The rest of the crew must help Vivi stop the rebels, but the formidable Officer Agents have been waiting for them at the city gates! Will Vivi be in time to stop the inevitable clash between the rebels and the Army?!

Catch up.... Monkey D. Luffy started out as just a kid with a dream—and that dream was to become the greatest pirate in history! Stirred by the tales of pirate “Red-Haired” Shank, Luff vowed to become a pirate himself. That was before the enchanted Devil Fruit gave Luffy the power to stretch like rubber, at the cost of being unable to swim—a serious handicap for an aspiring sea dog. Undeterred, Luffy sat out to sea and recruited a couple of crewmates: master swordsman Zolo and treasure-hunting thief Nami and lying sharp-shooter Usopp, and Sanji, the high-kicking chef; Chopper, the walkin’ talkin’ reindeer doctor.

On the Grand Line, Luffy and crew struggle to help Princess Vivi save her war-torn and drought-ravaged kingdom from the evil Sir Crocodile and his secret criminal organization, the Baroque Works. But, having trekked to Rainbase to confront the villain, Luffy instead finds himself imprisoned in Sir Crocodile’s hideout—with Captain Smoker of the Navy!
Meanwhile, the rebels and the royal army head for a catastrophic clash, and Vivi must choose between going to Alubarna to stop it or saving her friends from the gigantic Bananagators. Only Sanji’s unexpected arrival saves the day, and the crew races to Alubarna in hopes of stopping the war. But even as they set out, Sir Crododile’s sudden appearance forces Luffy into a showdown!!!

What happens....vol 20; we start the book with Luffy’s first go at Sir Crododile. The rest of the gang are going into the city. It’s also the start of the fights with the gang and the members of Baroque Works. This book is Usopp & Copper winning their fight with Mr4 & Ms. Merry Christmas.

Vol 21, Utopia; Sanji battle with Mr 2 Bon Clay. Zolo starts his with Mr 1 and Nami’s battle with Ms. Doublefinger. We also learn about the bomb and why Mr Crododile wants to own this island.

Vol 22, Hope!!; Zolo’s battle with Mr 1. Luffy gets back, and starts his fight with Crododile, also the gang with the help of the Navu help find the bomb that’s about to blow up the square where the rebels are fighting the kings army.

Vol 23, Viv’s Adventure; this one is the end of the battle between Luffy & Crododile, and the rain! It’s also were Vivi has to make a chose; they gang get food and fixed up. They find they made two new friends—one becoming a member of the Straw hats crew. There crased even more so by the Navy. Luffy and Zolo’s bounty goes up and they head into water that wants them to go into the sky, along the way meeting up with a pirate that looks like a gorilla.

Vol 24, People’s Dreams; The start of Skypiea: we also get Robin on this trip, she’s a soleaway and is joining Luffy’s crew because he saved her life when she didn’t want it to be, and since she has nowhere else to go, she wants in. Luffy agrees, naturally.

She wins the crew over, save Zolo as they head into the open water and off to the next island. But when the log post points up and it starts raining ship, there not sure what’s happening, Robin explains and Luffy wants nothing more than to go. But how?

Salvaging the ship gets them underwater, a monkey dude rocks up, he gets made, they leave him when it turns dark and a huge turtle turns up.

They head to the nearest island so that they can find out more about the island in the sky, but it’s a island of lawlessness a place for pirates to go and not get hassled by the navy.

On the island they run into pirates, naturally, Nami tells Luffy and Zolo they aren’t allowed to fight and so even though the man attacks them they don’t retaliate.

Nami’s pissed ‘cause they all laughed at her about Skypie, they head to other side of the island, and on their way they meet up with another monkey man.

Vol 25, the 100 Million Berry Man; they meet Cricket, a man with a history linked to a liar and a need to find gold that doesn’t exist. He tells them all they need to know about how to get to the island in the sky even if he doesn’t believe it exist.

They hunt of a bird that can only face south (man, its funny). They get back to find there ship in half and Cricket and his self appointed monkey henchmen have been beaten, there gold stolen.

Luffy goes and gets it back; they fix the boat and head off to find the patch of sea needed to get to the sky....

When we continues....the Straw Hats have made it to the ocean in the sky, but not everything is as angelic as they had imagined. Charged with illegal entry, they’re being pursued by not only the Skypiea Police, but all the other inhabitants of the sky too! Who knew that illegal immigration was such a treacherous felony? Even if the Straw Hats want to leave, will these outlaws be allowed to leave in peace?!
