            Synopsis
He’d seen her look this gorgeous once before, when she had first told him that she was a vampire. She’d let him see her true beauty then and it was just as mesmerizing now. Her black hair glimmered in the dim light, her skin was sheer golden perfection and, all of a sudden, Jason felt like the biggest idiot in the world. Why had he ever let himself think that Sienna would want to be with him? She was one of them. He wasn’t. End of story. Then she turned. Her dark eyes met his across the sea of faces, and she smiled. A sizzle raced through Jason’s body and all his doubt disappeared, it didn’t matter what she was or what he wasn’t. They were made for each other.

Jason’s life in Malibu is looking up, especially now Sienna, the most beautiful girl in town, seems to be interested in him. Jason is learning to live with Sienna’s dark secret – that she and her friends are vampires – but is she more trouble than she’s worth?

            Thoughts
Let’s get onto this...
I’m not going to head into the whys and shit of the series again ‘cause it will just repeat myself chronically—so if ya want it read this.
I will say this, though, there are my two favourite books in the series, though we add book 2 into that group. But I really like these books. They make the series.

Ritual
Jason Freeman has gotten used to the fact that beneath its glamorous surface, DeVere Heights is full of unexpected secrets. And vampires. Then just when he thinks he's golden, he's attacked. With a crossbow.

At first the attention Jason gets from his crush, Sienna, makes the wound almost worthwhile -- especially after she breaks up with Brad. But the crossbow-wielding lunatic isn't finished, and his next victim is found dead with a bolt through the heart.

As tensions rise at DeVere High, suspicions about the attacker point to pretty much anyone. There's something cold and hard in Brad's eyes-the look of a killer? Nah....

First he’s got to take his sister, Dani, to a psychic fair. Then later, on the beach a crossbow bolt ends up sticking out his chest. Jason is lucky he survived, a couple others weren’t.
This book plays off book 2 a little and there’s something very wrong going on around them. People are scared but Adam seems a little over excited about the idea of a vampire hunter—an idea none of the vampires want to take in, they don’t believe in them anymore (yeah, it’s odd, but there reasons are sound).

Jason and Sienna get closer though her messy (just break-up) with Brad has all his vampire friends shunning him. It’s real and one of the greatest things about this book.
It’s got a lot of workings and has Jason and Adam together more than the rest of the series. So far because the vampires won’t talk to them (well the guys).

The end is sweet with Jason coming to Sienna’s rescue and then Brad helps them both out with an apology and a lift.

Legacy
Life couldn't be better for Jason Freeman. He knows all about the vampires in DeVere Heights; he'd almost been killed because of them -- twice. But Jason is over all that. The end of senior year is approaching, and he's totally, insanely in love with Sienna Devereux, the most jolie vampire of them all.

While Sienna's parents are dead-set against the relationship, Aunt Bianca offers Jason a proposition he can't resist: If he transforms into a vampire -- like Aunt Bianca did -- he will inherit her wealth, her estate, and her power: her legacy. And Jason is free to be with Sienna -- forever.

There are big decisions for Jason and Sienna to make -- decisions that could change their lives. And Jason would die to be with Sienna...

Coming off the last book, Sienna and Jason are together—boyfriend/girlfriend to the world together.
But that happiness is soon dashed by Sienna’s family who tells her she’s not allowed to date him anymore (romantically, there allowed to be friends) or she’s off to a boarding school in France.

This is another book that comes with a little bit of info and so I can’t really go into it that much or I’ll spill it all. Though I will tell you this, to understand it all, you need to read it all. Information that’s pointed out and mentioned is actually very important to the end plot.

Humans can’t be turned into vampires, mostly because there a fifty-fifty chance of them not being able to cope and instead they go mad. Living for centuries’ in an out of your mind state.
When Jason and Sienna are caught together by Jason’s aunt she gives him an ultimatum, along with the threat that Dani was going to have this same thing.

When Adam and Jason learn that Sienna’s dad’s company has a test they jump on it and the things that learn....well, its shocking and happy and a little sad all at the same time.
Anyway this is a great book. I really liked it. It was great with excellent tension in more than one point and it panned out in a way that was believable touching and sobbingly sweet.
Jason is just that kind of honest guy you want to fall madly in love with...if only that rebellion strake didn’t want to kick in and that bad boy was oh, so delicious.
Nah, you can’t help but root for Jason and Sienna, there story is sweet and is a perfect tale for your teenage guys to read. Guys like that do actually exist.

Series
Bloodlust, Initiation, [tb], [tb], High Stakes, Hunted.
