Waiting on Wednesday #2

A meme hosted by Breaking the Spine
You all know what’s going on, so let’s get going....

At the end of Siren's Storm, the Sirens were defeated, and now the town of Walfang is once again a peaceful beach community.

Or is it? Gretchen and Will are still haunted by the memories of the night the Sirens were destroyed—Gretchen because she can't remember what happened and Will because he doesn't know how to tell Gretchen what he saw. He doesn't even understand what he saw, but he does know now that Gretchen is more than what she seems, more than a human girl. And at the same time, he is more in love with her than ever.

Gretchen knows there's something wrong, too. She feels like an alien in her own body, but she doesn't know why. And she feels a presence stalking her at every turn. Have the Sirens returned to Walfang? Or has some other force come to claim her?

Fury’s Fire, Lisa Papademetrious
(Siren’s Storm, #2)
Expected publication: 10th July 2012 by Knopf Books for Young Readers
YA
series includes
Siren's Storm
Why’s that?
Are you kidding me...? If you haven’t read the first in this series, Siren’s Storm, than go out and get it. it’s a light, fun read that it all about gods and goddess’ that have been shaped and pulled to being mermaids (like, Lisa makes then that. it could be real, but I can’t be bothered looking that shit up).
Book one was about Will and Gretchen learning what she was, and a few relations on what she is, found out by Will, who hasn’t spilled it all yet.
And its leaves you with questions about Gretchen, about her and him, because of shit that went down, mostly a twist in childhood friends and a brother that’s died for reason that spill into this book, having the two main characters in a bind of wanting each other yet.....
I want the next book; really want it, nearly more than I’ve wanted any book I’ve read in a long time, even Insurgent. Really.

It’s not the best of the best, just a little piece of heaven that needs to be consumed by the brains of many.
