What’s Happening this Year

I’m not sure if you’re interested or not, but I’m struggling at the moment to remember what’s going on and so I thought I’d make it easier for myself, and you know, share along the way.

So, I’ve given Moonlit Wolves #5: A Werewolf’s Howl has been sitting with extasybooks editor for a couple of weeks now, and I’m putting a safe bet on the fact that it must look a shit load better than the first ones as it hasn’t come back to me from editing. Either that or it won’t be up in May as I had hoped.
But it’s still only the beginning of April and the last book I had back from editing only took like a week I think to get it clean enough to move forward.

I’m re-writing book 6: the Rub of my Werewolf. But unless I can get that finished by the end of the fortnight than its most likely not going up in June, which will mean all the other will be shoved down and for the fact that I haven’t written then cause of my horrid writing blockage it’s looking as if I might not get one up a month.
Which in all honesty isn’t a great start to the start of my career.

What I wanted was to have the twelve books finished by June and out so that I have one published a month.
·         July: Protecting my Werewolf
·         Aug: Picturing my Werewolf
·         Sept: Catching a Werewolf’s Attention
o   This will end the first series plot.
·         Oct: Wondering Werewolf
·         Nov: In the Dark With a Werewolf
o   This will give us a completely new set of characters and another series plot will come from them
·         Dec: Naming Our Werewolf

As far as I’m concerned for the year those will be the only ones I write. They are the books I’m contracted for, and since I’m only up to book 6 and I’m kinda over them I need a break.
You must understand I have been thinking and slowly writing these books since the end of 2011—I need a break.
But I have to write them, or there not going to go up, which will be a shame.

I have submitted a short to Harmony Ink “first time” anthology, I haven’t heard anything back from them, so it’s either that my books going in or they forgot about telling me it’s not, which will make them very disorganised.
Anyway, this will be coming out in June, and if my short story doesn’t make it, and I get it back before that time, then I’m going to edit it myself and self-publish it.
Or I’m going to leave it as is, blog post it, and then write a long short story or novella of the story this short one is telling.

If I can get this second short story done in the next week, in order to re-read and fix what’s broken I’m hoping to submit it to the Dreamspinner “Taste of Honey” anthology, which deadlines April 14th.
This one comes out in August if I’m in it, and if not, since I quite like it, I’ll take into account all they have said and fix, edit and self-publish it on my own.

I’m also self-publishing a story that will come out in November: Love without Knowing It. You’ve read about it before, if not, then you will when we get closer.
It’s not that badly done and me and the editors are working on getting it complete finished by June, where I will be seeing about asking a few people if they would like to read it, and maybe put something up on their blog that last week of October, if not November itself.
This will also have a chance for people to win a copy before release date, as well as a some money, as I’m thinking of having a competition for the cover art. You won’t be making them, only choosing which one you like better—which one you’d buy.

I also really want to write a Christmas story to pub in an anthology around that time, but I feel I need to start it now, and maybe get it out of the way, but we’ll see how things go.

My year resolution plan hasn’t quite flown out the window but it’s getting to the deadline I’ve created for myself, which in all honesty kinda shows that I not good with those things.

On another note: I’m thinking of going over my two heterosexual romances, cleaning them up as good as I can and putting them up as a blog story. I’m not sure if anyone would be interested in that, but it’s a thought I’ve been circling around.
Also on the fact that I absolutely love that series, and I wouldn’t mind starting it up again. Only I’m trying to think of a way to do it while not having heterosexual couples but I think if I was going to start it again I’ll leave it how it is, since it wasn’t like the whole series went that way—hell, for the list I have only 3 of them (the others have major kinks).

Anyway, those are some of the things to look forward to this year, only I’m really hoping to get some other books written along the way so that I can have them published next year, which means I’ll have to hurry up, because it took over 7 months for extasybooks to publish my series.
Saying this, they had 4 book in their hands to start off with and no one else will get that because I’m braver than that. I know that I can do this, and that will allow things to work a little faster.
So I can’t submit them to early or they’ll come out this year and I’ll have nothing for next year, or too late, and it won’t come til mid-year.

Sigh, so much thinking and no actually effing writing since I can’t do anything if I can’t finish an effing book.
