April's Interlude

I wrote a little six book series called Lakehouse Security. The last book, Repeating Love, came out last month in October. In that series one of the main characters is the head of a secret government team called Demon Elite. I decided to do a spin-off series. The first book of the series is called Crash and will be available through eXtasy Books at the beginning of the year.

Elijah’s hands shook as he smiled at the big man and then at the Finnigan. The big man grinned, wrapping an arm around Elijah’s waist and pulling him into their little web of iniquity. “Hi.”
“Hello gorgeous,” The big man said and kissed him, trusting his tongue into Elijah’s mouth right away. Elijah was more of the let’s-get-to-know-each-other kind of person, not to mention he didn’t really want to make-out with anyone. There was something about being forced into this situation that made him not want to be touched by anyone, including this man that was oblivious to his current situation.
The man pulled back when Elijah didn’t respond. “I’m sorry. It has nothing to do with you. Not in the mood like I thought, I guess,” Elijah said immediately. Yeah, there really was something about being forced into a situation that left him feeling less than horny at the moment. He knew he was supposed to be leading them on. Well, at least he was supposed to be leading the smaller man on, not that he was even remotely close to Elijah’s type and he strongly suspected, based on the look of the big man, the feeling was mutual. Honestly the big man was closer to Elijah’s type than just about anyone in here and under different circumstances he might have gone for it.
The guy shrugged his shoulders and let him go. He leaned into the smaller man, who winked at Elijah right before kissing the big man again.
Elijah stood next to them and looked around for Uncle Samuel’s men. He figured he had approximately ten more minutes before Jasper would be in there looking for him, before he’d officially become a criminal.
Elijah moved in closer to the smaller man when he saw Jasper enter the club. He looked emotionless from the distance of the dance floor. He said something to a man going out the door and the man pointed to the back of the room.
Elijah gripped the smaller man’s arm, pulling him closer instinctively. “Hey man, that hurts,” the man said, breaking the kiss. He scowled at Elijah.
Elijah let him go. Elijah leaned into him, whispering in his ear. “Please. They’re going to take you. You have to leave now.”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” The smaller man asked, looking just a little pissed off.
“You’re Finnigan O’Reilly, right?”
“Just Finn,” he said and wiped his mouth off with the back of his hand. He looked at Elijah with suspicion.
“You have to go. Now.”
Finn laughed nervously. “Why would I do that?”
“Someone in your family paid my uncles a lot of money to put you in one of those reform brainwash church places. You know the ones I mean.”
Finn nodded, his brow creasing with concern and he paled. “My parents would do something like that. They talked about it.”
“My uncles will kill you.” Elijah pulled at his arm again, when his cousin finally spotted him. “Please. You have to leave.”
