As a child, Monkey D. Luffy dreamed of becoming king of the Pirates. But his life changed when he accidentally gained the power to stretch like rubber....at the cost of never being able to swim again! Years later, Luffy sets off in search of the “One Piece,” said to be the greatest treasure in the world...

ADVENTURE ON KAMI’S ISLAND
The Straw Hats have made it to the ocean in the sky, but not everything is as angelic as they had imagined charged with the illegal entry, they are being pursued by not only the Skypiea Police, but all the other inhabitants of the sky too! Everyone wants them out, but will these outlaws be allowed to leave in peace?!

Catch up.... Monkey D. Luffy started out as just a kid with a dream—and that dream was to become the greatest pirate in history! Stirred by the tales of pirate “Red-Haired” Shank, Luffy vowed to become a pirate himself. That was before the enchanted Devil Fruit gave Luffy the power to stretch like rubber, at the cost of being unable to swim—a serious handicap for an aspiring sea dog. Undeterred, Luffy sat out to sea and recruited a couple of crewmates: master swordsman Zolo and treasure-hunting thief Nami and lying sharp-shooter Usopp, and Sanji, the high-kicking chef; Chopper, the walkin’ talkin’ reindeer doctor: and the mysterious archaeologist Robin.

Having defeated Sir Crocodile and restored peace to the kingdom of Alabasta, Luffy and crew bid Princess Vivi a tearful farewell and set sail once more upon the Grand Line. When the Log Post suddenly points straight up, Nico Robin relates the legend of an island in the sky to Jaya and seek out a dreamer named Mont Blanc Cricket, who tells them of a mysterious ocean current that can carry a ship up to the sky with the help of the Monkey Mountain Allied force, they make preparations. But when Cricket’s gold is stolen, Luffy goes to get it back, and in the process settles the score with Bellamy the Hyena.

Running late, the Straw Hat pirates set sail for the Knock Up Stream. But Marshall Teech, the leader of the Blackbeard Pirates who wants to become one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, is waiting for them. Just as Teech issues his challenge, the Knock Up Stream hurls the Merry Go skyward. What adventures awaits our heroes in the mysterious land of the Skypiea?!

[Mind what I write below is just a quick shift threw what is going on in the volume. This in no way has all there is in it, nor am I going to tell you the full story line, just the basic so that you can follow along with me. Really, if you are finding this interesting then you really should read this series....really, either way, read it! Honestly it’s awesome, with great storylines and characters that you will fall in love with faster than you could blink]

What happens....[Skypiea] a guy who is called ‘Kami’ who controls—or is?—lightning and believes himself God is who they are battling in the sky, but it’s not only him, his team and the true owners of the land are in the battle, what they don’t know is that he knows no one will win because he plans to sink the sky ocean back to the blue sea.

Vol 26; so there on the White Sea, only problem, they have to pay to go any further but they haven’t an idea how much it is. She tells them they can go on ahead without paying—catch, they are trespassers, and they are now are hunted down by all of Skypiea. But before any of them could really explore their ship got taken away with Zolo, Nami, Chopper and Robin on it, leaving Luffy, Usopp and Sanji to get them back.

Overture, vol 27; choosing the ball challenge to get to the sacrificial alter, its Luffy, Usopp & Sanji are battling Satori of the Forest. Chopper being the one left to guard the ship, leaving him to blow the whistle and get the Sky knight in to save him from...

The warriors are also getting ready to start their own battle.  Luffy and the others 2 win their fight. They all get back to the ship, find the Sky Knight all bandaged up by Chopper and they all decide to go camping.

Learning where the gold is they set off in teams to go find it.

Wyper the Berserker, vol 28; this one is pretty much about battles, they all fighting.

Oratorio, vol 29; again its more fighting, only this time, Luffy is in a mystery cave he can’t seem to get out of. And they are all, either on the upper level and the next stage of the fight. Where Robin is hit and Zolo is on his last(ish) leg.

Capriccio, vol 30; the fight continues with Kimi (who is who they were battling in the last vol, sorry—along with Wyper leader of the Shandians)

Luffy gets out of the ‘cave’ to find Robin, Zolo and Chopper out of it. Nami has taken off with Kami, because she doesn’t really want to die, and it’s up to Luffy to go up to the Kami, only he’s a hard man to take down and Luffy finds himself with a ball of gold on his hand.

We’ll be here, vol 31; Luffy has to ring the bell, a thing he promised Cricket he would do if he saw the giant gold bell. He gets himself up to the bell with Nami’s help (remember he needs the help because of the ball of gold).

Water Seven starts....
Love Song, vol 32; yeah we won, and the bell was rung, the Straw Hats steal some gold and with the help of Conis & Pagaya help then get back to the blue sea. Heading off to the next island they come across the ship without a captain, flag or most of its crew.

But never mind, they hit land and its all verrrrrrry looooooong.....kicking down a moving bamboo stick a man falls and as he is reunited with his horse, it’s shot down by Captain of the Foxy Pirates.

Davy Back Fight, vol 33; accepting a challenge by the Foxy Pirate’s they are here for a fun time and three games that will lose them a crew member if lost, winning them one if they win.

Making their teams they set up for the first challenge a race around the island. Usopp, Robin and Nami in a boat made of barrels.

With a close loss by the Straw Hats loses them Chopper.

Next challenge is a ball one, with Zolo and Sanji being the only ones left in their team, they head onto the field. (Seriously, just this bit is worth reading the volumes, funny as) they win, though it’s close. They get Chopper back and Luffy heads into the ring for the fight with their captain.

The City of Water, Water Seven, vol 34; Winning this as well and with the Foxy Pirates flag in Luffy’s arms they go and tell the Bamboo man, telling him of their win, and end up running into (literally) Admiral Aokiji Navy Headquarters who as the power of ice and after he helps the old man out he decides that they should die, Robin in particular.

They fight him and Luffy ends frozen, only to have him leave without killing them.

They set sail again and end up Water Seven, the next island. Where they need to fix the Merry Go only to find out it can never be fix.

Captain, vol 35; with the news of the Merry Go pending sink, they find Usopp badly injured and go to avenge him by knocking down the Franky Family’s house. Usopp wakes and leaves the crew, with a fight. Oh, and on top of all this Robin’s gone missing.

They leave the ship and Iceburg is shot (big deal, because he’s the mayor of the town and they all love him) with the Straw Hats being blamed.

Franky comes home to find it’s ruined and goes after Luffy and the crew. So its Luffy verses Franky and Iceburgs team (though neither are helping each other).

The Ninth Justice, vol 36; coming to with Luffy unsure why Iceburgs crew are beating on him. Luffy goes and see’s Iceburg for him to tell him it was Robin—Luffy doesn’t believe him and wants to find Robin so she can tell them what’s going on before they declare her there enemy.

We learn that Iceburg’s crew aren’t really he’s they are a part of the Navy that wants blue prints that think he has.  Luffy starts a fight with them for Robin.

Tom, vol 37; we come in to the battle with Luffy getting his ass kicked because CP9 know things he doesn’t and can hurt him with only a finger. CP9 flick Luffy and Zolo out the window and into the night (this too is funny—when we find out where they land, really, still laughing). The house get on fire and Chopper gets the rest of them (Nami, Iceburg and he’s mate Paulie—the only one that wasn’t a spy)

When Iceburg wakes, it’s to tell Nami that Robin was going along with them because then the rest of them will be left alone (this part is touching, and can’t be conveyed even slightly in a sentence)

Franky and Usopp are taken to the sea train that’s heading to the Navy island of judgement (which has a real name I just can’t find it)

Rocketman!!, vol 38; Robin, Franky and Usopp are on the train. Sanji is watching it all and heads onboard to save Usopp even though he isn’t one of them anymore. Nami is in a rush to get to the train but missing and instead goes in search of Luffy and Zolo which Chopper and a lot of other people are helping—this all while they have to hurry not to be crushed by a giant wave.

(This is the funny part I was telling you about, ha, ha, really laughing just thinking ‘bout it) they find them, and Nami and Chopper (each with their own) has to get them out of where there stuck and out of harm’s way.

Sanji is on the ship and beat then Navy men in the last 2 carriages and gets Franky and Usopp free.

Back on the main land(ish) the Straw Hats want a boat but no one will give them one in the weather (‘cause it’s bad—did I mention that? well it is, they all evacuated and everything because of it) instead the old lady from the train station they first went past (again sorry if that wasn’t mentioned prier). The Franky family and Paulie—along with a few of his workmates, arrive just in time and on the train they make a deal to help each other get Robin and Franky back along with defeating Rob Lucci the head of CP9.

Scramble, vol 39; okay so were on to sea trains: Sanji, Franky and Usopp who’s pretending to be Sniper King—mostly because he feels he can’t fight with the Straw Hats being that he’s not one of them.

They are fighting their way through the train to try and get Robin, and even though they defeat a lot of them, Franky and Robin are still taken with the Navy, though Usopp tries to talk her out of it. but really, it’s Franky that seems to get to her.

This leaves Sanji and ‘the Sniper King’ on a floating carriage to be picked up shortly by the other train.

All this time though, the shark train is rushing to the other train. They have to cut threw two carriages (Zolo) and a wall of water (both of them) and when they get Sanji and Usopp back (again, this is funny as, because Luffy and Chopper don’t see him as being Usopp but him as the Sniper King). They make a plan for when they get to the Navy base, only to have Luffy jump in early and the rest following the original plan.

When we continues....Hankering for a fight, Luffy’s got a jump start on the battle to rescue Robin and Franky before they’re sentenced by the Navy’s court at Enies Lobby. The Straw Hat’s and the Franky Family band together, but they’re in for an epic battle against the side of World Government—style “Justice”.
