    Synopsis
Lock ‘n’ load with the baddest group of mercenaries ever to hit the high seas of Southeast Asia! Aboard their World War II torpedo boat, the Black Lagoon, Dutch the Boss, Benny the Mechanic, Revy Two Hand, and Rock, the salaryman from Japan, deliver anything, anywhere. In the dangerous underworld of the Russian Mafia, Chinese triads, Colombian drug cartels, crazed assassins, and ruthless mercenaries, it’s hard to know who to trust. But if you’ve got a delivery to make, and you don’t mind a little property damage along the way, you can count on the crew of the Black Lagoon!

Rokuro Okajima is just an average Japanese salaryman, living an average life. But when he’s taken hostage by the crew of the Black Lagoon, Rokuro finds himself thrown headfirst into a deadly world of outlawed heros, brutal villains, and blazing gunfights. Where he ends up is anyone’s guess, but one thing is for certain—he’s in for a wild ride!

NONESTOP EXPLOSIVE ACTION!

Back story.... there is none, this is the first volume.

What happens....it starts with a bloody nose and a hostage situation and ends with a fight between two very scary ladies.
The four main characters of the Black Lagoon are; Dutch, the boss. Revy (two hands) she’s the killers (or that’s what I’m getting), Benny the computer tech. And Rock the hostage turned pirate, when he finds out his old bosses where happy to let him die.
The first half is about him coming into it, and a disk, the second couple of chapters are about a mob and kidnapping/selling off of a boy that happens to have a who was a soldier (a hound, they called her).

As of now, since I bought this one only because I wasn’t sure if I would be able to read something adult. I just don’t know if the blood and shit would be too much (I can’t do like knives in the hands, or broken fingers, or anything pocking in the eyes...there my ick factors) it’s a fact that I’m already a visual person and that’s before you actually give me pictures and more so when you then have those pictures that don’t move out of your eye line until you turn the page.
And that’s more about the elephant in the room, or hairy mole on some dudes face...you just can’t look away man.
Anyway, this is my point, though I could have gotten a there faster. This isn’t bad, yeah, there’s them being messy but its bullets and fast action that seen them dead in a way that’s all about TV shows than anything else.
It’s not as in your face as I was afraid of (and this is coming from IKIGAMI which wasn’t bad, but had the hand thing I can’t really deal with, and made me cautious when it comes to adult content in manga’s)

This best part was that it was interesting, it made you think, to understand and had them having problems, mostly because other people were about to kill them, but still problems.
It’s all about the underbelly of everything, hookers, gangs/mobs, death, dealings, kidnapping, killing, and all that’s in-between, and I can’t wait to get my hands on book two, really, I’m already itching to get hooked into this series.
