            Synopsis
Rose Hathaway’s got serious guy trouble. Her gorgeous tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason has a huge crush on her, and she keeps getting stuck in her best friend Lissa’s head while she’s making out with her boyfriend, Christian.

Then a massive Strigoi attack puts St. Vladmir’s on high alert and the Academy crawls with Guardians – including the legendary Janine Hathaway... Rose’s formidable, long-absent mother. The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy’s not taking any risk. This year, St Vlad’s holiday ski trip is mandatory.

But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only provide the illusion of safety. When three students run away to strike back against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. Only this time, Rose – and her heart – are in more danger than she ever could have imagined....

     Thoughts
This is my favourite in the series, though I loved the first one this one I adore.
I’m still not sure why
Was it because of the main storyline hitching up to have more added tension between the people? Was it meeting Rose’s mum? Was it the new location? The introduction of Aidan? The sexual tension that blossoms between them? the fact that she takes a boyfriend? Or that she’s more pissed then ever at Dmitri because of his cold shoulder hot routine?
Was it because of Christine and Rose’s new dynamic and their growing friendship?
The annoyance with Rose at the other for their childness and not thinking when she showed the same sort of mind set.
Or was it the dramatic ending to this part in the story. The understanding that came from there link? The changes in Rose at the end of it all. the new understandings—or maybe just a loss of childhood that happens because of the events and the way they unfolded?

Whatever it was, this book pulled me in just as strongly as the first. it set up the next book while making itself stand alone. It’s was great and if anything I’m glad I started reading this series for this particular books.
