NEW WORLD Part 6
As a child, monkey D. Luffy dreamed of becoming King of the Pirates. But his life changed when he accidentally gained the power to stretch like rubber...at the cost of never being able to swim again! Years later, Luffy sets off in search of the “One Piece,” said to be the greatest treasure in the world....

THE ROAD TOWARD THE SUN
The battle for Fish-Man Island continues as a giant shit threatens to collide with the island and destroy everything. Can the Straw Hat pirates defeat Hody Jones and create a new bond between humans and Fish-Men? And what strange new adventures await the crew when they finally step into the New World?

The Story
Having finished their two year of training, the Straw Hat crew reunites on the Sabaody Archipelago. They set sail more determined than ever to reach The New World!

The Straw Hats finally reach Fish-Man Island but are quickly ambushed by the New Fish-Man Pirates. Their hatred of humans was caused by a long and terrible history of oppression. Now Hody Jones has sworn to destroy the Ryugu Kingdom, become the new king of Fish-Man Island and eliminate anyone who hopes for peace with humankind!! Princess Shirahoshi and her brothers want peace, and they stand up to Hody with Luffy’s help!! But now the giant ark Noah is bearing down on Fish-Man Island!! Luffy’s crew deafeats the Fish-Man officers, but Noah’s downward plunge continues. The island is in great danger!!

This time
This one is about the end of the battle, which was surprisingly uneventful, but added more to the storyline, and then they headed off to the surface and onto the next battle, which happens to be on a government island that had been condemned unsafe—and man, the little glimpse we got, and the fact that Laws coming up the storyline….I CANT WAIT, really, ah…..

I still found myself a bit disconnected with the characters, it’s not that they have really changes, and in a lot of ways they haven’t but they have enough that I’m craving more. I need to know more about them. I need there story told again. Need that connection between them and the one shown between them that just isn’t there. But hell, that could just be me. but I feel as if I’m reading the series from the start only I know the characters I know where they’re coming from, I just can’t see—can’t feel that connection to them anymore. Though it doesn’t help that Franky and Brook didn’t really hold that same connection because they were so new when they all split off. But I have high hopes that there’s stories and moments to come that will bring us back that connection ‘cause Oda is a fucking awesome writer.

There were moments in the book that were rememberable for different reasons.
Like Zolo answering the ‘hero’ question the same way Luffy did. It’s that connection that made them great as one two as they were in the beginning, the reason those two guys work and you love them both for it (but obviously, Zolo’s was grog where Luffy’s was meat, and a little better, ‘cause of his run off to the whole thing.) ‘Let me lay it out for you….the hero is the guy who shares his grog with others! I wanna drink all the grog!!

When Luffy talks about Mom (the new enemy he gets with just a phone call, one that shows that Luffy has changed because of the loss of his brother and the training, he sees things a little differently, and though it’s the same, there’s that slightness to him, to them all, but mostly Luffy that shows in that one point: ‘Just you wait! Now I’ve got a reason to find you! I can’t leave this place in your hands. I’m gonna find you in the New World, kick you but… and announce the Fish-Man island in my territory!!!’ But then, later, says: ‘isn’t she crazy?! She says she’ll destroy Fish-Man Island, just because you ran out of sweet! I mean, I could understand if it was meat, sure! But sweets?! So don’t worry—I told her right off!!!’ see the same old Luffy, only with a higher goal to keeping others safe.

The history, the ending to it, the mystery that makes you wonder what’s to come, ‘cause you know, now, that Oda rights his storylines so well, and so fully that you can question points, you remember them a little better, ‘cause they may come back. But this one, this one has to….
The flashes of Luffy being Roger has been there since Roger came into the whole picture, when we get that bigger hit that he’s the same, that there the same. Though even though we didn’t see it, it was there. Now you get the flashes off it. The real picture.

The reaction the New Fish-Man Pirates have when the drugs they had been taking wear off. it’s the first time we see real proof of how power like that, like Luffy used sometimes in the first book—what could have been the death of Roger—does to the body when it’s abused and ignored.

The next big battle that’s to come, I’ve mentioned before. big Mom, an eperior, but that was pretty much a given, he battled Warlords, this time, there big battles have to be BIG ones, and there’s Big Mom, Blackbeard, the flamingo one (but were sure this storyline has to tie in with Dragon—‘cause wait for that, Luffy meeting his dad) and the world government.

There’s a moment with Smoker: ‘Straw Hat was bound to choose Raijin Island, the destination with the bumpiest needle…. But then he goes and ignores all of them! …or so I thought.’ Which is really cool, ‘cause when Nami gets the log post compose thing, and it’s being described to her she gets really unhappy ‘cause Luffy hears about the fact that they can chose and the needle that’s the lest stable is most likely the most dangerous. Great Luffy/Smoker moment.

There’s one with Usopp:
(u) ‘What’s going on?! This is not Lunchtime!!’
(z) ‘You aren’t going to eat yours?’
(u) ‘I wouldn’t be able to keep it down!!’
A bit later: (z) ‘so now you’re hungry.’
(u) ‘No use wasting my final meal!’

Okay so I’m getting a little carried away with this one. But I fucking love this series. I love the storyline, the drawing and everything about it. It’s great and once you get one all you want is to get your hands on the next and the next. You want the storyline to hurry up and finish, without actually finishing. You just want more—I just want more.
Man, I can’t wait for June!!!!

When we continues...
Hey!! I remember you!! It’d me, man!!
Thanks for your help that one time!!

Dragons, samuri, and knockout gas! The Straw Hats find themselves on the mysterious Punk Hazard Island, and things quickly go from bad to worse! The crew may have defeated the powerful New Fish-Man Pirates, but new troubles await as they make their debuts in the New World!
