            Synopsis
Twilight Phantasies
In two centuries of living death, Eric Marquand had never once cried out against the cruel fate that had condemned him to walk forever in shadow. But then he found the woman he knew was his chosen one – and understood that to possess her was to destroy her...

Tamara Dey trembled at the aura of dread and despair that enshrouded this creature of the night. And yet, against all reason, she saw clearly that her destiny was eternally entwined with his, and that she must know – even welcome – the terror and the splendour of this vampire’s kiss...

Twilight Illusions
There could be no doubt that the one called Damien was the master of shadows, the greatest of his accursed kind. But now his ancient mantle of mystic power was threatened by a terrible weakness – a fatal passion for a woman of mortal flesh and blood...

Suspicion had first drawn Shannon Mallory into the darkness, in search of the truth behind the legends that swirled around this man – if man he was. But it was not suspicion that kept her there or even fear – it was pure, stunning desire...

            Thoughts
This book was originally published in 1993 by Silhouette publishing (I think), and FantasticFiction considers it Urban Fantasy.

First review; a little girl who was once visited by a man of the night ended up being raised by DPA, little does she now it was set up, because as she lay in that hospital bed her parents were being murdered by that very man.
Years past and she herself works in DPA her job is to get information out of a little boy named Jameson who has the same gene as her, and is in, probably more trouble than her.
She meets Eric, a man who seems so familiar that she can’t seem to stop visiting him, and eventually they all figure out what’s going on and even more so they rescue both her and the boy from the clutches of the DPA. There’s a little more to it, but that’s pretty much the gist.

This wasn’t really my favourite of all the stories I’ve read from her, mostly because Eric annoyed me, he’s whole view of what he was, and even more so, he’s inability to except the fact that it’s either change her or she dies. Even when she’s begging for him to do it. Though he’s old school threw and threw and it comes out in the things they do. Ball dancing is one of the few.

This read: It’s much better story this time round, mostly, I think, because the last ones, though still memorable, they weren’t fresh in my mind. they weren’t something that I was obsessing over to a point that I was going to turn into a 13 year old (yeah, I’m talking, near stalking of fictions characters. it’s a thing I love about myself, it’s a reason that spending that much money on the books I read. At the end of the day, the amount of times I read them, it’s worth it. Really worth it.)

I talk about this in a way that I’m not a fan of either character, they are....boring, actually, I like them in context of who they are, and in other stories, they are great and welcomed relief when you need someone thinking clearly, and calmly, but as main characters in a book...?
It makes much more scene and even more so, when you read it as a first book, when you don’t know the true greatness of the characters to come.
But still...I think that if I had read just this book, I wouldn’t have been that interested in moving onto the series, and what a shame that would have been
(even more of one, that I don’t hold all the books in this series, which sucks, but I just haven’t found them to get, sucks and all but what can you do? maybe I’ll get to them when I get an e-reader).

This series is wicked, this lovely, and it’s sweet, and Shayne, like always can write a sex scene that turns your insides to fantastically tingly giggles, without them being to raunchy for public viewing.
Though saying this, how I see sex scene and there sitting on a shelf has changed in the last couple of months due to my over reading of erotic—so don’t read it in public if you tend to squirm.
