                Synopsis
All any of us could talk about was Chris’s disappearance and how bizarre it was that he had last been seen so close to the House of Night. I didn’t want to believe it. But everything inside me said that the kid would be found. But he’d be found dead...

Things seem to be going pretty well for Zoey Redbird. She’s settled in at the House of Night finishing school and is coming to terms with her incredible new powers. It all seems too good to be true. And guess what?

Someone has begun murdering human teenagers, and all evidence points to the vampyers at Zoey’s school. Which means her first assignment as the leader of the Dark Daughters is finding out which one of her classmates or - gulp – teachers is a killer.

Sigh. And she thought her boyfriends (yes: plural) were going to be her biggest problem this year...

      Thoughts
There was only one good part about this whole book—Heath. I really like Heath, though he’s devotion to Zoey is a little, well, odd. But hey, what do I know of teen boys. Still everything that had to be with him was great, and probably the only reason that I kept up reading the series.

It’s also sad. Really sad.

Yeah, the sad thing is I can’t really say anything else about this book. that’s it and I’ll put this in, to read the book again was a classic case of skipping. Mostly because I knew it enough to not have to read it line of line, and I just...I just am over the series and this time round I’m seeing why a lot quicker and it’s a lot more annoying than the first time round.
Which sucks for you all if you want to know if it’s worth it or not.

But then we can fix that up.
Let’s put it this way, if you liked...um....Evernight series, maybe a little younger, maybe. Vampire Academy is like this but at least that series had an end in sight.
Well, there the only two series that I can think of that if you liked them then I’m sure you’ll like this series, it’s just very soap opera-ish and has a tendercy to drag a little.

This book we get to understand the stalker-esk way Heath goes about getting Zoey back but then when you look at it with an older eye you know it goes both ways.
This book also starts up the ruining of Zoey a little and the weirdness but not until the end of the book do you really see anything interesting.

Manly though Zoe gets crushed under grief, stress and weirdness she seems to only see. add that with lying to her friends and you have a great book to start up what’s to come.
