            Synopsis
Deep within the forest of Pacific Northwest, two vampire coalition battle for supremacy – Guardian enforcers who safeguard humanity, and Darkbloods, rogues who kill like their ancient ancestors.

Alfonso Serrano is a hunted man. For months he's managed to elude the Darkbloods, vengeful foes who won't rest until he's dead. But he still craves one dangerous temptation: Lily DeGraff, the sexy Guardian agent he'll risk anything to protect.

Lily is a wanted woman. Her talent for tracking Sweet - a rare blood type that's addictive to vampires - makes her a prime target for enemy capture. Her only hope is the stealthy vampire operative who stole into her bed. Then left her in despair. Danger aside, Lily won't let Alfonso near her heart again - until an irresistible hunger threatens to draw them back together. And into an assassin's snare.

     my Thoughts (review)
You think maybe it’s because it’s the first one, that’s why it’s not that great, but unfortunately this book was just the same. Which, to be honest was actually what made this book good. And what a contradiction I am.

But the thing was that I didn’t mind the book, the characters and the problems and all that, it was good, even the points where he’s life...becomes something more, where everything comes together, it was great. like, she’s a great story teller, but there wasn’t anything in this book that really pulled me in, honestly there were points where I was getting bored, that I hoped it was going to end, and honestly they were bits that I didn’t even bother reading, though who he is, who they both are, well it was great that this story came, and all I just...yeah.

So it’s about Alfonso, who is Dom’s brother (book one), and Lily, who was his informant threw book one, and this is a year later, and he’s just found out that the DS’s want a tracker (which happens to be what she is) and so, he’s concerned about her and goes to check on her. well, that’s all good, but than her trainee goes missing and she going to look for him, only Alfonso won’t let her go alone, so he goes with her, and since they were in love before he broke her heart, this book was really all about then getting back together, and in that aspect it was good, the story, the way they were with each other, the reason he left her in the first place, the reason they get back together, the only surprise threw the book (sorry but it’s also a spoiler so I’m not spilling) and then a hunt for the evil, and walla, togetherness, it’s the book. And yet it isn’t. But I feel as if you can’t really tell someone what’s in a romance novel, not these ones, ‘cause basically there all the same, and yet they are so different it’s not like it bores you to read them.

So all in all it was a bore of a great book. Especially if you liked the first, this would be perfect, it’s a great follow up, and honestly I can’t wait to see what happens next.
