Hammering Away

One of the things I’ve been doing over the last couple of weeks/months/year, is that I’m trying to figure out who I am as an author.

It started with me learning I’m a plot focused author, which really l should have noticed, and I think others would have told me if I’d actually asked, but as it’s so obvious they all gathered I knew.

I didn’t.

Then came the thought of what type of style did I want to write in. did I want to change myself to match others or keep my own. I’ve decided to keep my own. Which for one means I write 3rd person present tense, so I’ll have to make sure my tense stays that way. But honestly I’m not sure if I’m all that good at that, but if this is how I wish to write it’s how I’ve got to learn to write.

Gotta be consistent.

And last what is it I write… now that’s something I’m still in thought about. What I want people to know I am before they bother with me stories.

If you have an idea, I’d love to hear it.

Onto updates.

It’s school holidays for another week, and last week proved I just can’t do anything through school hols. Or is it anytime soon. I’m not sure.

Anyway, I’m keeping it simple, going to do all the busy work that needs doing so next week I can be good and focus on my birthday shorts and then move onto the first Challenge book, as I need at least 1 of them, done so I can move onto the Greenbelt trilogy. Really looking forward to both.

So, what’s on that busy work side
