Wishy Washy

“How are you today?” you ask
“Not the best. You?” I reply

This is me, how I’ve been feeling. However it wasn’t until one of my mates was talking to me about someone else that I realised that’s exactly how the last 4 months have been like for me, maybe the whole year.

Wishy washy.

I have excuses. Excuses I’ve been telling others, but more so excuses I’ve been telling myself. Money has been the main problem, it’s spun me in a hard loop, and most probably what I’ve been dealing with is a heavy dose of depression, one I’ve managed to have for so long I’ve worked myself into a state that I’m able to live a semi-normal life, though I’m feeling very little. I’m doing very little. I want to do less.

Flashback Thursday

While I try and figure out what I want to do for this day instead of talking about myself I thought I’d share an unedited excerpt of a book I thought, at one time, I wanted to write. Hell, maybe I still want to write it, however I do believe it might be a little to cutesy for my reputation – see me kid, lol.

Anyway, if the story comes back I’ll finish it, as it stands it’s a cool idea but I’ve never gotten past what I’m about to show you. so enjoy

Straight With A Gay Kink

“Holly fuck, man, can you two take your lovey dovey shit elsewhere.”
“Jealous?” Cater shot back, his tone, and attitude that of someone who was pissed and lashing back.
“God no. I, unlike you two it would seem, have these brilliant things called balls. But more so I know what they’re made for, and being a cute lesbian couple ain’t that.”
“Fuck you Dave,” Cater again, this time his hip cock into his arm, as he fully faced his lovers best mate.
“Classy,” he smiled back. Fuck, it was easy. Easy to get Cater all worked up. Easy to deflect words that were so turn it hurt Dave’s inside.
Yeah, he was jealous. Not of the lovey crap his best mate and his lover were into, really, that was to chocolaty sweet it gave anyone within a mile of them a toothache. But the love. God those two were in love. The type of love that couldn’t be broken, kinda love. Now, that, defiantly something he wanted for himself. But, hell if he was going to give Cater the pleasure of ever knowing that. Especially not in this type of situation.
Jack laughed, wrapping his arms around Cater’s waist and pulling the man towards him. Legs bracket hips, chest met back. chin on shoulder, it was almost as cute as the noise rubbing they’d been giving each other before, but at least this time there was an actual world outside the two of them.
“I always am,” Cater snapped back at Dave, though the words were dulled slightly from the fact that he just couldn’t keep that type of hot air when Jack held onto him. it made there domestics interesting, if you wanted a free show. Not that Jack practically wanted to see his friends junk used that way, but too drunk to move was the only reason he didn’t get off the lounge as soon as the first insult came out of Caters mouth.
“Leave him be,” Jack stage whispered to Cater, “He’s never been in love.”
Cater’s head tilted slightly to the side, and he was lost again, floating in a sea by himself, for all those knew.
“That’s kinda sad.”
And it just got better, he was now being spoken about, while sitting right here, as well as adding to their fucking scene. Yeah, him.
More importantly who was Jack to say he’d never been in love. Dave had been madly in love with someone. He still was, though he was slowly getting over the infatuation—at least that’s what he said, but still, here he was, hanging with couples because they were drinking in a pub he worked at.
“So, whose torch you holding?” Rabbit said on the other side of the bar. Dave blinked he hadn’t realised he’d gotten up and walked away from the scene he started.
“Huh?”
“Yeah, which of those to you want for yourself?”
Huh? That didn’t even make sense.
“Come on, you’re hear every time they are, causing trouble.”
Dave smiled over at Rabbit, “Nah, it’s just fuck riling Cater up, and I’ve already seen both there arses, didn’t care for either.”
“What?”
“I live with Jack.” Which should answer any question, but from the look on Rabbit’s face, it hadn’t. “I was to drunk one night to go to my room when they started bitching at each other. Ended up getting the whole show.”
“Ah…. I wouldn’t think Jack would look all that bad under his attire.”
What?! Dave wasn’t sure what of that comment supposed him the most. Rabbit, the male of all males complimenting another dude, or that he had used such an old arsed word. But worse was the red that started burning in his stomach at the fact that the man Rabbit was complimenting wasn’t him.
“Attire?”
Rabbit blushed slightly, “It’s an appropriate word.”
“Yeah, in a knitting club, maybe. In the fifties.”

Woohoo! New Month, the Last to be Exact

Welcome to December, the last month of this lovely year.

It’s also the time of year when we stress about how the hell we’re going to find the time to do everything, while buying present (and can we really afford it all?)

It’s the time of year we wonder where the fuck the year went.

It’s even a time one starts to reflex on the past year, one what little we’ve managed to do and think of next year as being better. As the year everything you want will be done.

SO week one REFLECTING ON 2015

This year was an enlightening one for me. I realised I need to write something new and different. That I can’t just produce the same book repeatedly. It saddens me but the realisation allows me to know my limitations. However on the other hand I don’t realise this and though it seems 5 books (this is while reading too) is a limit of the same thing for me I tend to have series that got beyond that.

I have re-realised my love of YA and am starting to do things about that. This is a next year starting but the ideas; the reality of this though started this year. I’m excited. I really can’t wait.

I have come to a realisation that until my kids are only (say 5 years at the most) I won’t really be a full time writer. Once my children can get themselves off to school without my help that’s when I become full time because I can actually set a schedule that works for me, not one that works around my children.  This is saying that I work better at nights. I like nights better and this will be reflected in that time. As of now, I just can’t give it my all. I am half, or part-time author. This I think is the most important realisation of this year. I am not a full time author I am a full time mother with a part-time job as an author while they are at school.
This means that even though I have always had it in my mind that they come first, that they truly do now. and they are just too young for me not to be there, to be with them full time.

This isn’t to say things will change. I’m still able to pull all-nighters (or a Saturday night) like I have for the last 5 years, but it means I will allow myself a break when the kids need me more. When I need to be a mother more.

I have decided, because well the above, I guess. I will only publish up to 6 books a year in MM and try for 3 in YA. I think that the MM genre needs to learn to settle themselves you can’t complain about the editing while demanding that your fav authors publish a books every month. It’s not possible, and really cliffhanger or not, in the het world you’d still have to wait and effing year. I think we’ve gotten spoiled and as readers, we are the reason that the books we are buying have declined so much. So we need to learn patients again, need to learn to lay off.  Maybe rather than demanding another book from our favourite authors we could, I don’t know, read a couple of those 2K+ books you have in your tbr pile.

I’m going to plan for 6 books a year. If things happen they do, but I will plan and write 6 books a year for the following year – oh yeah that’s another thing, I’m not going to be writing in the year I publish a book. I want to allow my editor a year to edit my stuff. I just… I can’t deal with the stress and so I’m not going to.

What I have PUBLISHED this year

This was published and pulled within a month I believe. I really like the story (and it will be back up, I’m hoping next year). I changed it so it wouldn’t be banned, and I liked how’s it’s changed in a sense that I’ve created a series from it, and I really love the series. however I’m not going to be able to publish it through ARe anymore, so should I have bothered changing it??
Lots a prob with this book, lots of confusing and hatred and embarrassment but next one, which will be coming, is going to be great. I love it, and honestly I do love it now. I do think it’s better. And I can’t wait to write more of this series. or just for you guys to read more

This is the end of the first arc for the series. I’m not sure if you’ll get another book from this series anytime soon. I just…there is so many probs with this series I just can’t find the love to write more.

24/May – My Kevin

I love this book, and I got it edited and re-realised.

You WILL be getting the whole version of this book next year. I wanted to do it in parts and I have tried it multiple times there just isn’t enough story to put it into parts without at least 2 of them being cliff-hanger no matter if I push it forward or not.

this is also written for the Goddreads MM Romance Group

I put in a short 300 word story as well as a cover to this contest. The cover I submitted came 4th, which is very cool.

My first go at m-preg. I’m hoping for 2 released next year, which will be interesting. I’d like to publish 2 of them a year, and so far I have 5 books in the series.

I published this promotional collection because April couldn’t get it printed, but that’s what it’s meant for.

This is a cute little anthology of all those short story that go along with the series. I wanted originally to publish them into the books, however that wasn’t advised.

THIS WEEK I hope to write. I haven’t for the last 2 weeks and it’s not a pleasant place inside my head when I can’t write.

I also plan on doing a read threw of The Way Life Turns, highlighting areas April and I need to work with in order to go through and make right before it goes into beta editing. But it’s looking okay, not as much as I hope wrong with it. However, I do think, our voices are a bit off. However the events and the time period’s we are both dealing with allow for that.

I also need to do some promo graphic's for Moonlit Escapades

And I believe that’s it. Thanks for sticking with me this long.

Title Here

I did nothing last week again. It’s annoyed me but shit happens and this week is going to be different. I AM finishing the first book on my list it’s 9K that’s 3 3K nights and I’m done. So it’s happening even if I don’t sleep for the effing week

And that’s it, so I thought I’d write up a list of the books in my WIP

The Way Life Turns, co-writing with April Kelley (2.4/10K)
Second Pack of Cameron: Tentative Steps Forward (13.4/25K)
A Road Worth Travelling (13/50K)
Ashes & Roses (0/?)
Second Pack of Cameron: Wolf’s Desperate Mate (0/20K)
An Alphas World: Deep in the Woods (1.2/10K)
Second Pack of Cameron: Something in the Water (0/20K)
Encounter Space: untitled (0/10K)
Second Pack of Cameron: Untitled (0/20K)
Don’t Judge…: No Biggy, It’s Just a Kiss (0/10)

That’s what 205K so…273 days, which is 750 words a day.

Above are the ones on my list, they WILL be written, along with a GRMMRom but I’m not sure if I’m going to be doing it next year. We’ll have to see.

Adding to it I believe me and April are contemplating a co-author series. the SERIES not the individual books, which will mean you’ll get a lot more from her then me, but it’s a when you feel like adding go for it type of series and one that won’t have an end.

It’s a really really cool idea; I can’t wait to start working on it which is when we’ll be fell more comfortable talking about it. Though it’s looking like it won’t hit the shelves until 2017

And that’s it for the next set, I’ll update the list when I’ve finished this one. I have more to add but in July 2016 I’m going to be spending the next 6 months to year working on writing at least 3 primary stories and updating the 4 stories I would love to publish on that side. So it won’t be until those are finished that I’ll be getting back into the MM world. I’m looking forward to it, but honestly just don’t want to get excited.
