2 prezys left and a pile of books

Yeah, I nearly finished my Christmas shopping. got everything I'm--I really mean we--are getting for the kids, because there young enough that it doesn't matter all that much how Christmas looks that morning under the tree (next years gonna be a bitch) and I've gotten..Yeah, there's only 2 left to get and mostly because those two I can't actually get until things are worked out and Christmas is at our front door.

Also, on my walk through the shops I got some books (surprise surprise, and not only because it's what this post is saying)

the first one is...

1st book in the Clann series

 by Sherrilyn Kenyon

One step into the Dark-Hunter world and you'll never turn back....

Dark-Hunter series, book 21

and then I have a few books to add to my simple romance books. short, sweet, and full of love and sex.

Thursday 24 November 2011

finally, I got them....

On the day after the last day in my 15 day waiting period for the books I ordered. The day with I was just about to ring up screaming (ha, like I'm that type of person) at them for the fact that they should be here and they weren't. Demand (which, so my family says, is in me) that they get here sooner rather than later. I got them, worst was that it's raining where I live. the bastard of the weather that has been lingering around for the last couple of days making me sweat a little every time I went out just in case they came and just put them on the door step where they would be drenched by the flash downpour, with help for them wind seems to like the hit over the last couple of days.

Anyway, enough about all that crap. The crap that you most likely don't care all that much about.

I got....
           Dark sins and Desert Sands
Escaping a hellish Syrian prison, U.S. serviceman Ray Stavrakis emerged with uncanny mind-control powers and an eerie ability to morph into a mythical Minotaur. As a half man, half bull, Ray had legendary power, but only one woman could prove his innocence. The woman who’d driven him to the brink of insanity with her cool-eyed interrogation and her hot-blooded sensuality.

But Vegas psychologist Layla Bahset had no memory of Ray or her past. Only a feeling of being stalked by a nonhuman predator. Was it Ray...whose eyes condemned her soul even as his hands ignited her body? Or was another evil force at work? But nothing could stop Layla from remembering what she was...and what her evil creator had planned for her and her soldier lover....

this is book 4 in Stephanie Draven's Mythica series, and was released in Oct 2011.

my sex scenes (more so a bitch)

I'm just not sure if I'm any good at writing sex scenes

The thing is that it’s not really about the sex and yet it’s everything about it. Making the scene hot, heavy, atmospheric. Light and free. It’s all about the right type of sex in the right places.

But then I’m not writing porn, so it’s also got to have a lot more in it than sex. It’s got to have emotions and suspense, even if it gets you into their pants, there just has to be something in it. Something that makes you hot along with a need to have someone love you—no , want you just as much.

I sat all this because it’s what I hope it will be like to read my book. And I think I suck at it!

Will the tears ever Stop?

So it's time.... I'm getting rid of, like, a row of YA books—mostly because I'm giving them to my niece. they aren’t all that important and even more so I haven’t read them in so long they are starting to collect dust. But....it’s taking them off....giving them away.... it’s....

Yeah, you can all say it, I need to grow up and stop holding onto things that aren’t all that important, and more so the ones that I haven’t read. But—but....

They’re just...they are...

Ha, there’s something I can latch onto. The books I’m giving to her—which I really do want to do—seriously I want someone to have them who will actually read them. And so I’m more than happy to give them to her. They’re just, like, well, my first sets of series, and it’s a whole shelf (nearly) of them... it’s like, what I imagine, getting an abortion must feel like. I’m losing something, and yet it’s not as if it’s all that important to me (shit, that was actually really horrible, sorry, try and forget what I said, please)

What I’ve learnt

as a mother the first thing that I have noticed is that bullying—especially when it comes to young people (like pre-school, kindy) is that it’s all how the adults around the children see it.

And how sad is that....

To me bullying, especially mental bullying is that if what you are saying makes that person feel (or actually) cry then you are being mean, and if you can see the distress on the child’s face and you keep on taunting the person about the cry, then you are bullying—this to me is what you go one when you are a kid, because the older you get the easier you hold your face. Still, taunting the same person is mental bullying.

Am I wrong?

She may be in over her head, but she’s finally following her heart.

It’s KJ’s junior year in the small town of West End, Montana, and whether she likes it or not, things are different. Over the summer, she turned from the blah daughter of a hunting and fishing guide into a noticeably cuter version of the outdoor loner. Normally, KJ wouldn’t care less, but then she meets Virgil, whose mom is studying the controversial wolf pack in nearby Yellowstone Park. And from the moment Virgil casts a glance at her, KJ is charmed. Soon, both KJ and Virgil are spending a lot of their time watching the wolves (and each other), and KJ begins to see herself and her town in a whole new light.

Excerpt

      The new boy
Virgil comes in and sits behind me. He looks at me as he passes, raises his eyebrows and says, “Hey.”
A week into the semester and I am still a loaded geek gun around this guy. After avoiding saying a word to him all day yesterday, I have a spasm of congeniality. I spin around and say, “We have a lot of classes together.”
“I noticed that,” says Virgil. “I mean, I noticed you. You’re pretty.”
I’m pretty? You can’t just say that to a girl in a casual conversation. Is he from Minnesota or the moon?

It’s something we all do....

Still, it's come to my attention, as things often do, that it's time to ring in the New Year, or more so, it's the time when the only thing left is Christmas (and I think Thanks Giving, right? I can never remember--mostly because I'm not American and have no care about the day) still, it's seems that we are already in the mind set of the new year, that we are already there, just waiting for the time when we can say, 'Yeah its 2012'--well, maybe not the ones that think the worlds gonna end then, really, apparently that's gonna be close to happening in like 200yr when that big ass asteroid is gonna scrap by us, and lucky for me, I'll be dead by then. Yeah!

Sorry, I went somewhere else in my head then, but then again, it's me.

I’m blaming the Christmas season

On the fact that I don’t seem to be able to write a single word since...well I finished the first draft of my book, that has yet to be named and even more so, ready to be read by its first person not me.

It really sucks. Really, because I want to write, I feel all blocked up and stressed, and being that writing is what realigns me I haven’t been able to do that. I haven’t had anything to say. And it’s not in the way... actually yes. It’s all been crap. I hate it, really hate this. I’m all blocked up, though it’s not all that great because, well, I have—I need. I want to be able to write!

A bitch on twilight

Mostly Braking Dawn part 1 (this is not a bitch on it, as a movie, more it as in context of movie)

It’s about the sex in the movie!

For one why is it actually in the movie? It’s not in the book, well, yeah, it is, but it’s not. Not the way there doing it in the movie and even more so shouldn’t they not put it in like a real thing because it’s a tween movie!

Next thing will happen is that the movie will be rated to high got the people that love it (I know adults like it too—but hell it’s a tween movie threw and threw)

Though it’s not something I’m going to watch (they are really shitty movies. Badly written and—no, wait, if I keep on going well be here all night, but I thought, especially with the first one, that the people that wrote the screen play it a really bad job, and it didn’t get better in the second one). Still I don’t get why they need to glorify the sex, it’s not like anyone (teenage) is going to see the whole, ‘oh, they got married first, so that’s why it’s okay’, they will just see the sex. Just the sex. the sex with a (ugly) vampire. But at least she gets pregnant after that, it’s a good thing that sex leads to pregnancy, since it does—but do you think they will see that either?

It only took a year!!!!!

But last night (the 5th of Nov) I went to the Kings of Leon concert at the Allphones arena in Olympic park.

And it was fucking awesome! So awesome that my mind goes a little crazy just thinking ‘bout it!!! So so sooooooo awesome, it was.... yeah!! *scream (like 12yr old cheerleaders*
Anyway, we got there early enough to get a spot near the electronic box where they do sound and all that shit (it’s in the middle) it also let us get the plastic rise that hid all the wires and shit under it—putting us an inch or 2 higher than normal, which was nice because we were with a chick who is like 5’3.

So being that early let us have a good bit of people watching to entertain us before the first band came on. Band of Houses, they were average—sounding like all other people. So nothing that really got a rise, at least from me. Though they did look like a bunch of people you wouldn’t want to meet in an underground car park.
