This Year, the Plan as It Sits Now

I feel this feeling of dread as I inform you that I’m one book away from finished my publishing year.

Okay, so let’s back step. You see I’m in no real rush to become big and famous. I’m in no rush to make a shit load of money or whatever it is people want from publishing. What I want is to write the book, and that’s it.

So for the last couple of years, or last year and this one I have been trying to figure out how I want to go about this. how I feel I need to set myself up so that when I get to the point of people actually making taxable mounts of money, I’ll be established, first on my own, as myself sitting here on my side of the computer and then establish myself on the other.

I want to be completely settled so that I don’t have a nervous breakdown and end up disappointing all those new fans of mine. I want to be completely comfortable in my ability to put out work year after year.

So I decided that I would write a small year and a big year. Which starts this one, so for me this year I will only have 6 releases, and I’m hoping to have around 12 the following. Which means that once I finish the first book in my AWRT series I will have gotten to the 6 book quota and my goal for the rest of the year is to write and get the books ready for publishing the following year.

Get it.

That’s not to say this year I still not doing a lot as I am, but writing new books that will be publishing this year, by May I’ll be done.

And since I’ve set this, I’ve sat down and wrote this out, I thought you might like to see what I am publishing this year.

Published/ing:
My Outside, My Inside (free)
Protecting My Werewolf (Moonlit Wolves)
Ben’s Wolf Surprise (Second Pack of Cameron)
A Road Worth Travelling (ARWT)
My Kevin
Being That for You

My Kevin is getting re-edited and proofed and going to be reissued everywhere
Being That for You is a blog story I’m publishing (as apparently it’s real good and was written in a time when no one read it)

I am also getting all my short freebies reedited and proofed and then republishing them, (they won’t be free anymore, so get them now so you have proof and can get the new ones free).
They will also be collected into a paperback with a few shorts from April Kelley which we will be giving away for free at GRL (or she will, as I won’t be there, and I’ll be holding giveaways for the small collection I’ll have)

That is it, I will be spending the second half of my year writing what I can in order to get 6 months ahead of myself so that I don’t freak out and end up in massive bloke that ruin nearly a year of my publishing life.

Saying all this, it will probably mean that I will just write ARWT series flat out as I’ll be in there head space and in that world. It’s a hope but it’s also allows me not to rush and get them all out
I plan on writing up more m-preg, and my two vamp story that I have cover art for. That’s the plan anyway, for the rest of the year, as well as whatever pops into my head.

We will see how it work, I’m hoping for the best. it will be nice to have a good solid flow of story waiting to be published that way I’ll be able to get into promoting them better and learning more about that side of the world, without fear of not actually finishing off the book’s that are planned, or not writing at all.

But on the sadder note there will be no November book this year, I had hope and if I get motivated and am able to write it I WILL publish it, because that’s what it’s for, but I’m not putting a guarantee on it. I’m also planning on expanding this series to include other things, but you’ll have to wait a bit for me to get into that, it’s important but some things would be better

And as I’ve prattled on enough I will leave you for this week, hope you still love me even after such devastating news *wink*

‘Til next time….

#MySexySaturday week 85

Their Sexy Talk is this week’s theme and it’s all about how lovers talk to each other. We know you’ve noticed it. Whenever you get into a room of people, where there are other couples, notice how they talk to each other. Sometimes you can tell when there’s tension, other times you wonder just what makes them so happy and there are others still when their happiness is practically contagious.

So, I’m not sure if this is what they meant, but I’ve just gotten BETA’s back from a book I’m going to publish at some point either this year or next. It was a blog story that I want the world to see now I have a name people might notice.

Anyway, it may not be something that’s being said around others, but it’s def lover talking and it’s slightly NSFW (and unedited)

“God I love the sounds you make,” Jake muttered. “Can always tell what you’re doing by the sounds you make.”
“Yeah…” what?
“Yeah. Oh yeah, you sound fucking good. Getting me all worked up. Fuck babe, you got lube? Babe?”
“What? Um…yeah, maybe, round here somewhere…” at least he had at some point, “should be some in my bag.”
“Get it babe, get it quick I wanna hear ya with your arse full.”
Mike made a sound, Jack chuckled, “too late? Don’t worry babe, squeeze yourself tight. Let me hear it. Let me hear you letting go. Won’t be the same as what it’s like when you got two fingers working at your arse. Won’t be the same as when I fill you up, and pound at you hard. Making you push out those tiny little shouts when I hit home and push in deeper.”
“Erg, fuck!” the shout was muffled by a blanket as Mike shoved it into his mouth before he himself go, his phone lay close to his ear, but he wasn’t holding it, hadn’t been for a while now. Cum shot in thick gooey ropes across his chest and abdomen as he worked himself threw the orgasm.

April’s Interlude #9

The idea of Pickleville
I’m a little weird and probably make sense to very few people with my logic. Naming the town Pickleville is a prime example of this. So first, I had a dream about a girl and boy who were on a date at the movies. The girl was cute and very girl-next-door type. The boy was small in every way, geeky but in a sweet sort of way. They were maybe sixteen years old and were clearly in love with each other. It was really dark by the time the boy walked the girl home. He kissed her good-night and started for home. On his way home a group of older boys in a car stopped him, dragging him in the car. They took him to an out of the way dirty road and beat him to death. Needless to say it was a very sad, terrifying dream that stuck with me for a while.
So what does all this have to do with how I got the town where Jaron and Travis live?
About this same time my best friend was dating a cowboy type guy. I’m talking the real deal here, cowboy boots that were scuffed up and an expensive hat. He ended up breaking my friend’s heart so of course we hated him after that. I had to give my friend a happy ending so Travis was born. Jaron’s character came to me and I began to write. A little into the first few chapters I had to come up with a name for this town, except the name for the town had to be unique because initially Jaron hated being there and couldn’t wait to leave.
Then I remembered the dream and thought maybe the boy that died felt a lot like Jaron did about his town. Neither fit it very well. I wanted something completely ridiculous sounding as a punishment for the group of older boys that hurt the geeky kid.
And that was my weird, twisted logic for naming the town Pickleville.

Characters Character #5

Moving down the list of characters, I’m going with Phil from Seeking My Werewolf
Now this one is one of my favourite books, I’m not really sure why I like it so much, but it’s again a troupe in the paranormal world, have the hunter fall in love with what he hunts.

I like the fact that I was able to bring in a bit of mating lust in a way that doesn’t seem to be shown, it always hits after they first have sex, but why…

Phil is another one of those characters I don’t really know anything about. it’s weird when you write a person and end up having no effing idea who they truly are, but then I don’t really care more then what the story there telling has to say.

I’m not sure what that says about me, but they can have their secrets, there personality traits they want to hide, that’s fine I don’t mind.

This one had Phil pretty much hurt 90% of the time they were here.

He’s clearly a bottom, though he might tell you he tops. I’m not completely sure we didn’t see him on the prowl, and let’s face it, could you see Craig as a bottom???

I have a favourite part in this book, honestly, its my favourite one in the whole series …

“Fuck!” he screamed at the dirt, trying to get rid of some of the frustration that was eating at him.
It had been a month, a fucking month  of telling himself that he hadn’t met his mate. That the man with the steel eyes wasn’t his mate. But all he got was a hard cock that throbbed with a pain that came from blue balls, even though he’d jacked off an hour earlier.
“Fucking shit-arse body.” He stomped off towards one of the trees. He didn’t care anymore. He had to get off. He had to get rid of the pain in his balls so he could have a moment without it in his chest.
“Again, Phil?” Matt asked. That guy had his mate. He was whittling a knife out of a stick, sitting on the ground with it between his legs, and was a new addition to their group, coming when he and Jex had run away from wherever they were from and needed a place to hide. Luckily, Matt and Colin were cousins. Because of that, he’d been introduced to the group of werewolves, and they just clicked.

… I like the whole scene.

I’m not sure if it being my favourite scene was because it was the one that started the book. from the moment I saw Phil he was pacing back and forth wishing he wasn’t wishing his did would soften up so he wouldn’t have to fuck anymore.

I didn’t know where he’d come from, only vague new his backstory to the boys in the group, but that was it, he was just the male of agony as he didn’t want to have to wank one last time. hell, he was at the point of saying he’d become an eunuch if it meant he’d get a moment of piece from the raging hard-on that wouldn’t go away.

Anyway, what do we need to know about Phil???

He’s in the closet, at least from his parents. He’s the only one of my boys that could have truly had a cliché story, that I could have, legitimately, made it about him being gay, but like with the series I didn’t, because that’s not the point, it very rarely is with me.

The reason he doesn’t tell his parents is that he needs the money he knows won’t come anymore if he’s parent learn he’s gay. He is my first, and hopefully only with that backstory, but I guess only time will tell. The thing is, this backstory isn’t really spoken of, though it’s there, in the pages of the series.

He’s at university, but if I’m honest, I have no idea what he’s studying.

He had a one night stand with Colin and then became a part of their little family, because he fit and he was a werewolf – it’s still unclear if they bit him, or he came that way, I’d have to go back and look (yeah, great author I am, lol)

And lastly… he’s the only person in the world that could have allowed Craig to be truly happy.

Then it gets worse: the handsome and compelling Callum Dawson shows up on his doorstep claiming Ezra’s been turned into a werewolf. Ezra wants to be skeptical, but the evidence is hard to ignore.

Ezra doesn’t have a lot of time to get used to the rules Alpha Callum imposes—or the way his body responds to Callum’s dominance—as he’s busily working for the CDC to help uncover the origins of a lycan epidemic. When the sexual tension finally breaks, Ezra barely has time to enjoy it, because a new danger threatens. Someone wants Ezra for their own unscrupulous purposes and will do anything to get him.

The Job is Never Done

And for this job one wouldn’t want it any other way.

Big congrates to me as I finished my first ever m-preg, yay! Which just means that I finished my third book of the year.

Ben’s Wolf Surprise ended at 12,740

At the moment this book is in limbo, I will be re-reading it on Sunday and then sending it off the BETA readers before it heads into second writing and then I can decide what I want to do with it.

This week is for plotting out A Road Worth Travelling, I know what the love part is, and of an extent the serial plot line, but I need to actually work it all out. Because when it comes to series, hell more so with serials, you need to have a solid line to work off. a solid plot to run or you’ll end up shooting yourself in the foot as the story progresses.

Anyway, since that’s all I’ve really got here is me unofficially officially showing off the serial cover – this will be the cover over the 3 or 7 books. However, they’ll all have a different title. I’m doing it this way because it’s a serial and at the anniversary or end, I will put them all together under the first cover—this cover.

#MySexySaturday week 84

It’s Our Sexy Tomorrow this week, which is all about, well, tomorrow.

This is another UNEDITED snippet from my m-preg WIP

Then Shad was there, larger than life, and mouth wateringly naked.
Ben shoulders shifted against the door, his mouth dried out as he took in his lover—his mate, that’s what the others called him right.
Ben had nearly forgotten the hard line of Shad’s body, the splattering of dark hair, the shadows of darkness against his stomach, the dark pool at the base of his throat. The hairy line of his beard, apparently they needed to shave once they shifted.
A plump line of lips that pulled tight, showed teeth as the man smiled over at Ben, who couldn’t help back smile back, or flick his eyes up to meet Shad.
Ben gasped at the heat that sparked in there depths, the happiness that Ben was there, with him.
Ben needed to touch, and the thought made Shad get larger, closer.
They met soon after, arms and mouths. Tongue and teeth, slamming together, mating as they got to know each other again, as they just connected, like he’d gone to the bathroom and was back again, needing more, wanting more. Having a moment that only happened with new couple that irritated everyone around them.
